My favorite three authors are Anne Bishop, Cassandra Clare, and Ilona Andrews, so if you love any of their books, you've come to a good place for recommendations. I mostly read fantasy and young adult novels, but occasionally I'll add some science fiction or general fiction to the list. Happy Reading!

My all time favorite books, Anne Bishop writes dark fantasy with humor that makes me laugh, characters I wish were real, and magic that you can feel.

In a "school" where everything is trying to kill her, El fights against every threat thrown against her: The monsters, the other students and their privilege, and her own preconcieved notions of who everyone is and what she wants.

In a world that allows teenagers to be aborted retroactively (or unwound), Conner and Risa are just trying to survive. Helped by some and hunted by others, they travel as fugitives in my favorite dystopian series.

De Castell brings us a series exploring the strengths of different cultures, different people, and putting more stock in the journey than the destination...and magic, of course. I can't say I loved the ending, but the six books it took to get there were well worth reading.

Age of Myth takes us back to the times of legend and shows us just how those legends were created. Witness the characters struggle with the gods, evolve humanity, and quite literally invent the wheel.

A reimagining of Norse mythology, A Witch's Heart explores what might have happened between the myths to bring about Ragnarok and some of humanity's survival of it.
