MARGO MILLER – signing and discussing CHATEAU HIGGINSON: SOCIAL LIFE IN BOSTON’S BACK BAY 1870-1920 a vivid and absorbing account of one man's efforts to construct a building that would create "a new way for Bostonians--and Americans--to live." Her interest in Henry Lee Higginson, founder of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, resulted in this book when she discovered he built the Hotel Agassiz, an early apartment house in Boston's Back Bay, in which she has lived since 1977.
MARGO MILLER was on the staff of The Boston Globe, 1962-1999, writing on performing arts, architecture, and interior design. She was introduced to the Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts when she worked summers at the orchestra's Tanglewood Festival.
