I read this book when it first came out a few years ago. Although it is a juvenile fiction book, I believe it is a book for adults to read and share with children. I happened to tell a friend about it and wound up reading it to her! Edward Tulane is a very fine China rabbit. He has the finest clothes and a wonderful owner, Abilene, who loves him very much, though he isn't quite capable of returning those feelings until something happens that separates him from Abilene and he finds himself alone. Edward goes from adventure to adventure, but will he ever find himself? Will he ever find a home? What will become of him? Yes, I read this thoughtful emotion-provoking book before. Yes, the same parts that pulled at my heart pulled at me again. And yes, my friend was kind enough to keep handing me Kleenex. The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane should not be missed. It will speak to the child inside each of us, and to the adult we each have become. Redemption is a beautifully miraculous thing; Edward Tulane is a beautifully redeemed rabbit.

Imagine being brought back to life in order to tell about the "lost" years you spent with your best friend who just happens to be Jesus (yes, the Jesus).

My mother always said this about the truth and stories: "There's his side, her side, and the truth." Learn the other side of the greatest story ever told, as seen through the eyes of Biff, Jesus' childhood pal.

Full of fun, frolic, and ... other stuff, Lamb is a wickedly funny book about the life and times of you know who. The ending is a shock!

Before the divine Ya-Ya's there were Wheezie & Juts, divine sisters in their own right. These sisters are just a couple of the stars in Six of One, Rita Mae Brown's novel of southern living. These two are not your typical southern belles, as you'll soon see. The book chronicles the sisters as they grow up with plenty of eccentric characters in the little town of Runnymeade. The exploits of all involved will amuse, bemuse and even accuse throughout. I have read this book numerous times and it has yet to disappoint me; it makes me laugh, cry, and most importantly makes me feel as though I am not merely a spectator but a friend next door. Even now I feel like I would really like to have grown up in this (quaint?) little town. The subsequent novels, Bingo and Loose Lips, continue the sisters' lives and rivalries, and I enjoyed them too.
