POETRY READING WITH MARILYN ANNUCCI AND PATRICIA FARGNOLI Marilyn Annucci is the author of two chapbooks including Waiting Room, which won the 2012 Sunken Garden Poetry Prize, selected by Tony Hoagland (Hill-Stead Museum, 2012) who writes of the book “There’s a wry compassion for the human in all of the various, exquisite poems in this collection…The imagination is our angel, the speaker knows, and language is the unsentimental, inventive, tender genius that makes poems like this possible. Superb work.”

She also published Luck (Parallel Press, 2000) and her work has appeared in various journals online and in print. She lived in Peterborough from 1983-’86 and worked as a copy editor at RUN Magazine.  She is now living in Madison, WI, and is an associate professor in the Department of Languages and Literatures at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

 

          Patricia Fargnoli, the New Hampshire Poet Laureate from December 2006 to March 2009,  is the author of four books and two chapbooks of poetry. Her newest book is Then, Something  (Tupelo Press, fall 2009). “Pat”, a retired social worker, has been the recipient of a Macdowell Colony fellowship. She’s been on the residence faculty of The Frost Place Poetry Festival, and has taught at the New Hampshire Institute of Art and in the Lifelong Learning program of Keene State College.
