Just inside our door and to your right, please nod a hello to PHYL MANNING, a local author paying us a visit in support of her books. She's written something for everyone - kids to grandparents. Have a chat, check out her titles, and get an autographed book for you or a loved one.

Originally from Nebraska, Phyl took advantage of an opportunity to teach abroad, and with her family went first to Saipan, then Pohnpei in the West Pacific. After several years, they went from there to work and live in (and travel around) other places until Phyl can say she has spent time on every continent except Australia ("Still a bucket destination") and Antarctica ("No thanks"). The stories herein are some of the adventures of this "ordinary woman in extraordinary places."

Phyl Manning was a Finalist in the 2012 International Books category "Narrative NonFiction" for her memoir Here, There and Otherwhere.
