Clara's music has a melancholy folk-pop sound with evocative lyrics and new and original chord usage and harmonization. She has smooth vocals and takes a new approach to old topics. She has opened for national headliners such as Pierce Pettis and Cheryl Wheeler. Several of her songs have received airplay on Maine stations including WCLZ and WBLM, and in 2008 she was named one of "10 Maine Musicians To Watch" by the Portland Press Herald. In late 2008 Clara released her first album, Wave.
